The local beach at St Agnes is Trevaunance Cove. There used to be a harbour here many years ago but it has long since disappeared. The remains of it lie at the Western end of the beach - a popular spot for fishing.
Trevaunance has excellent local ameneties including beach huts for hire, surf board and wetsuit hire, surfing tuition and a small shop as well as a restaurant right on the beach. There are two car parks, one right next to the beach and a larger pay and display one a couple of minutes walk away. Trevaunance also has very well maintained public loos - complete with piped music!
St Agnes is a popular surf spot, picking up medium to large westerly swells and providing some shelter from a South Westerly wind, but when it's good it tends to get quite crowded.
The beach is lifeguarded in summer and dogs are allowed all year round.
