From this vantage point you can see the expanse of Portreath beach when the tide is almost fully out. The initial view looks East towards Porthtowan and you can see the 'pepperpot' on the coast path above Lighthouse Hill. The cliffs and rocks provide secluded spots for a picnic, or exploring and there's a small cliff tunnel - just behind the big rock to your right - which leads through to the main beach. This spot is under water at high tide.
