Right on the beach at Watergate Bay, Fifteen Cornwall combines an innovative menu with a fabulous view to provide a memorable eating out experience. The restaurant is open seven days a week and seats 100 people in a light and open first floor space with a view that encompasses the entire two mile stretch of beach and the Atlantic Ocean beyond.
Like the decor, the menu is contemporary. Created from top quality seasonal ingredients that are locally sourced, it is inspired by Italian cooking. Breakfast is served on a 'first come first served' basis until 10am. At lunch you can choose from an a la carte menu or a 3-course set menu and in the evening Fifteen Cornwall serves a Tasting Menu, providing the opportunity to experience a selection of dishes.
Fifteen Cornwall is more than just a restaurant. It provides an opportunity for disadvantaged young people from Cornwall to build a career in the restaurant industry. Fifteen Cornwall is a non-profit organisation, all revenue goes to the Cornwall Foundation of Promise, which trains the students.
The first Fifteen restaurant was opened by Jamie Oliver in London. There are now four restaurants, in London, Cornwall, Amsterdam and Melbourne. All are run on the same basis, as charitable organisations providing opportunities for young people to train as chefs.
