Adult: £3.90 Children: £2.00 Concession: £2.90

The upper gun room at St Mawes was designed to defend the castle against infantry attack. Like the forward gun room, the windows have been designed with built-in gunsmoke vents. The room was designed for the use of hand guns and small arms such as bows, early muskets and breech-loading cannon like the one displayed in the alcove nearest you. Stairs from here lead to the roof, from which there's a spectacular view.
