How does the interactive map work?
The interactive map uses Google maps to display the location of every panorama on lookaroundcornwall on a map of the county. Use the slider control in the top left to zoom in and out and to pan the map or click and drag anywhere on the map to move it. You can go anywhere in the UK or the World, but you'll only find panormas in Cornwall.

Click an orange marker to display the picture thumbnail of the panorma at that location and click the picture thumbnail to go to the panorama page.

At low magnifications you can't see all the panorama location markers, for example there are lots of panoramas in Truro but, when the whole of Cornwall is displayed, you can see only one or two markers in the Truro area. To see all the panoramas in Truro first select a marker in or close to Truro then zoom in using the slider - the map will automatically centre on the selected marker.

I can't see the panoramas, there's just a white hole
To view the panoramas you need the Flash plugin for your browser. If the plugin isn't present a message is displayed with a link to the Flash plugin download page on the Adobe website. Follow the link, or click here and follow the instructions to install the plugin - it's quite simple and only takes a minute.

How do I look around?
Click anywhere inside the panorama and drag with your mouse in the direction you want to go,- if you get disorientated, or start to feel dizzy, just let go! You can also zoom in and out using the Shift and Ctrl (Cmd on a Mac) keys. For fuller instructions click the info (i) button - it's the first one on the button strip that you'll see in the bottom right corner of every panorama.

Can I make the panoramas bigger?
Yes! To activate full-screen mode click the last button on the button strip that appears in the bottom right corner of every panorama. To go back to the normal page view click the button again, or press the Esc key.

How do I get back to the interactive map?
There's a link to the map page on the menu bar at the top of every panorama page, or if you came from the map page just press your browser's back button.
