Trevarno - Italian Garden

The Italian garden at Trevarno is thought to have been created by William Bickford-Smith in the mid nineteenth century.  The central fountain, found in bushes in anorther part of the gardens, was installed here when the garden was redesigned in the 1960's.

The formal border edges are Camellia Cornish Spring. On the banks, to the left and right of the steps a Sedum (Stonecrop) Lawn is covered in pink, white or yellow flowers in early summer.
