According to the BBC, the General Synod of the Church of England has approved a proposal to make churches more accessible to tourists. We’re all for that, and we’re doing our bit to raise the profile of Cornish churches by including as many as we can on Lookaround Cornwall.

We already have some panoramas of Truro Cathedral and we featured Newlyn Trinity Methodist Chapel on the site back in 2006 when it made its bid for funds on the BBC’s Restoration Village series.

Today, we’ve added two more churches - Lanteglos, near Fowey, where Daphne du Maurier was married, and nearby St Winnow, which has stunning views over the River Fowey.
