Lostwithiel is one of Cornwall’s most ancient and historic towns. It has castle, a Mediaeval church and a Tudor Bridge and was the scene of two English Civil War battles. We visited at a more peacful time - on the day of the Lostwithiel Festival. As well as strangely dressed men dancing with big sticks, the festival provides a chance to see inside some of Lostwithiel’s historic buldings and sample what’s on offer in the towns pubs, hotels and restaurant. Our panorama shows some of the festivities that occurred during the day.
