Tucked away at the end of a narrow country lane, Lower Barn, on the edge of the Roseland peninsula, is a secluded retreat where it's easy to forget the rest of the world exists. If getting away from it all is your aim, this is the place to come. If you want to explore, Lower Barn is a mile from the Lost Gardens of Heligan and a five minute drive from the fishing village of Mevagissey. Mike and Janie Cooksley offer much more than a first class Bed and Breakfast - a holistic approach to relaxing the mind, body and spirit with the emphasis on quality, personal choice and attention to detail. A range of specialised therapy treatments makes each stay unique. Choose from an aromatherapy massage in the teepee, a LaStone therapy treatment, reflexology or 'sand reading'. Or, if you prefer, relax with a glass of wine in the outdoor hot tub, enjoying magnificent views of the garden and surrounding countryside. Lower Barn has four individualy designed rooms including the Hideaway, the Hay Loft apartment, which has wheelchair access, and two conservatory rooms with adjoining lounges. Dinner is served most evenings, or by arrangement, in Lower Barn's Shack. As you can see, it's casual and intimate with a roaring log fire. The shack is the perfect setting for a romantic dinner for two or, if you're sharing with others, a great way to meet new friends.
